Celebrate National Library Week!

IMG_2914[1]Today marks the end to National Library Week!

I may be a little late to the game, but I celebrated by visiting my local library and checking out some books for my thirteen-year-old daughter.

I love everything about libraries–the smell, the books, the librarians. The endless possibilites of all the new stories lurking in the shelves, just waiting to be discovered. And so, a profound thank you to each and every public library in existence for providing us with their services–and a thank you to our government for continuing to provide funding for this important service.

To the left is the cutest, tiniest little library you ever did see, courtesy of the Little Free Library organization. Is it not precious? It’s in our neighborhood, and I just love that we have it here. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside every time I take a book out and borrow it.

There may be only one day left, but it’s not too late–go out and visit your library today! And Happy Friday.
