ARCs are in

IMG_2997[1]Yesterday I was leaving a client’s home when I got the text from my publisher that the ARCs (advanced reading copies) were in, and did I want to come by and get one?

Yes.

Yes please and thank you very much.

It is really a surreal experience to hold the book you wrote in your hand. I still can’t quite get over the feeling. Countless hours of thinking, imagining, drafting, writing, and revising, all coming to life in actual paper and ink.

I leafed through the pages and told my husband, “It feels like a real book.” He laughed and said, “Well it is a real book.” It still doesn’t feel real. But it is.

I could not be happier with the cover. The cover model (his name is Grant, by the way, and I will feature him in a future blog) is absolutely  the perfect Jesse, and his picture is exactly how I envisioned him. There are still edits to be made, and the cover is still in the rough draft version, so when I get the actual version I will debut the official cover here.

People have been asking what Finding Pony is about. Now that we have the release date, and the ARCs, I will built an About Finding Pony page, and maybe include the first chapter. On Friday I will blog about where I got the idea for my book, so be on the lookout for that.
